Golden Belt Beef is built on more than 50 years and three generations of cattle-feeding experience in Central Kansas.
What began as a feed yard north of St. John in 1968 has grown into the family-owned operation behind the Prime and Choice beef we raise today.

The Golden Belt Beef story begins in 1968 with a feed yard and a commitment to raising quality cattle.
Located just north of the small South Central Kansas town of St. John, the operation established roots in a region where cattle and agriculture have long been a way of life.
Three Generations
Over the decades, the operation has grown while remaining family owned and hands-on.
Today, more than 50 years of cattle-feeding experience informs the way Golden Belt Beef operates every day—from managing the feed yard and nearby pastures to providing year-round care for the cattle. It’s experience that has been passed from one generation to the next.

For years, our farms have raised Prime and Choice beef enjoyed by our own families. Golden Belt Beef grew from the desire to make that same quality beef available directly to more customers.
What began at the feed yard now extends to our retail stores and online shop, connecting the beef raised here in Kansas with families across the country.
Today
Golden Belt has grown since 1968, but our foundation remains the same: experience, quality, service and pride in where our beef comes from.
We’re still here in Central Kansas, still raising cattle, and still building on more than five decades of doing what we know.
